Getting to Zancudo by Plane

Flying to Golfito
The first step is to book your Flight into the International Airport in San Jose (SJO). Contact Visit Zancudo for Hotel and pick-up info.
Next you will need to take a commuter flight to the Port town of Golfito.
Sansa:
This is the most popular option and their terminal is located right next to the international airport in San Jose. They offer daily flights to the coast of the southern zone of Costa Rica.

Nature Air:

The Nature Air terminal is located at Tobias Bolaños International Airport (SYQ) located about 5 miles west of downtown and is about 10 miles away from the Juan Santamaria International Airport.

Both of these local commuter airlines fly into the old banana port of Golfito on the Golfo Dulce and from there we can arrange for a boat taxi (20 min.) or car taxi (1hr.) to bring you over to Playa Zancudo.   www.natureair.com/

Solid Rental Car
Their office is located in Golfito at the hotel Samoa del Sur if you decide that you would like to have a rental car while you are visiting Playa Zancudo. The rental car will give you the ability to easily see all there is to see in Playa Zancudo and strike out from here to visit the famous surfing town of Pavones and even travel up to the town of Pasa Canoes at the border with Panama.
